Too often, companies lose a good candidate because they have not given enough thought to the hiring process. Top talent is only in the market for 2 to 4 weeks, with several offers to choose from. It requires a tight process and a lot of thought to bring in top talent.
Some tips:
– treat talent the way they want to be treated
– don’t create barriers during the process
– know exactly who you are looking for and establish clear criteria with all stakeholders
– shorten the recruitment process through direct feedback and collaboration between stakeholders
– create job postings that make it clear how the candidate can go on to make a difference
– provide openness about the environment they will be a part of
– solicit feedback from new hires and act accordingly
We developed a presentation for our relations with insights on recruiting scarce talent. On what criteria does Google select candidates? And what do candidates in the current market find important when choosing a new job? In addition to information, the presentation provides many tips on things you can do yourself as an organization to effectively bring in your preferred candidates.
Do you also want to recruit top candidates more effectively? Then let’s sit down soon. We’d love to hear from you.
