The challenge

You will get the opportunity to contribute to more consumer-orientation and also more proactivity in defining a NPD roadmap together with the European country teams. In that way you support the growth ambitions of Yakult in Europe. And you will guide, support and coordinate the instore and connection to digital activation-activities of the European country teams, to create both more effectiveness as well as efficiency in pan-EU activations.

The Product Manager reports to the Manager Product Strategy and Instore Activation Europe. The Manager Product Strategy and Instore Activation Europe reports to the European Marketing Manager.

In Almere you work intensively with, among others, the marketing colleagues of “digital strategy and solutions” and “consumer insights and market research”.


Your main responsibilities are

• Contribute to the growth ambitions of Yakult Europe as a team member of European NPD projects. As a team member you are involved in all aspects of NPD (insights, research, positioning, taste, communication development), and your main focus will be in the intensive alignment with design agencies, the European country teams, logistics and production.

• Support the creation of a 3 to 5 year activation-roadmap to ensure continued volume growth, in line with group ambitions and brand positioning.

• Solid project management support to ensure ‘delivery on time in full’ (country-specific or Pan-EU),

• Help to develop an agreed list of metrics to measure the desired effectiveness of (instore) activations.

• Safeguard minimal effectiveness, and help maximize effectiveness of local activations, by challenging and coaching the European country teams.

• Facilitate and ensure learning and exchanging of best practices.


Your work also includes the following activities:

Coordination of approval process (together with other departments within Yakult Europe) regarding all external communication expressions (checks on scientific correctness, legal risks and safeguarding of agreed brand strategy and graphic guidelines).


Who are you

• You are a creative thinker, having affinity with managing creative processes and instore activation and deeply curious about human behaviour and (purchase) motivations.

• You like it to work in a multicultural environment, both in the central team in Almere and in the local teams.


Skills, background and knowledge:

• 1-3 years’ experience in a marketing/product management role in an international FMCG company.

• Bachelor or master degree in marketing, business innovation, commercial economy, communication or related.

• Good analytical skills, understanding of FMCG metrics.

• Excellent knowledge in relevant software.

• Fluent in English, ideally also in Dutch or one other European language.
