History
BOVAG has existed since May 6, 1930. Forty garage owners talked about their common interests in the cafรฉ-restaurant Noord-Brabant in Utrecht and decided to unite. That evening, the Union of Automobile Dealers and Garage Owners was born. Within a year there were already about 750 members and soon motorcycle companies became members as well. Over the years, commercial vehicle companies, engine overhaul companies, car rental companies, driving schools, gas stations and car wash and polish companies, bicycle and moped companies, and caravan and trailer companies also joined the ranks.

What is Bovag?
BOVAG is a trade association of approximately 9,000 entrepreneurs involved in mobility. Companies that specialize in passenger cars, classic cars, company cars and trucks, two-wheelers, caravans, trailers, engine reconditioning, car rental and parts, car washing, car polishing, traffic training, damage repair companies and gas stations are welcome as members. In addition, BOVAG is a hallmark for the customers of these companies. BOVAG members ensure that BOVAG customers can enjoy carefree mobility. And that mobility can take many forms, of course. From bicycle to caravan and from car to scooter.

BOVAG serves members as an inspiration, a platform and a news, and information center. BOVAG lobbies, advises and organizes quality care. In addition, BOVAG is an employers’ organization that concludes the collective bargaining agreement and deals with working conditions and education. In addition, BOVAG as a network organization provides purchasing pooling. In short, BOVAG offers on a broad front a great added value for member companies.

For consumers, BOVAG is a widely accepted quality mark. Companies that want to join BOVAG must meet strict quality requirements. They are reliable companies that do their work competently.
