For more than 100 years we have been active in the international world of fruit and vegetables in a distinctive way. Over the years, ZON has become a leading sales organization in the Netherlands and far beyond. The Koninklijke Coöperatieve Telersvereniging Zuidoost Nederland, as we are called in full, was founded in 1915 and received the designation Royal on its 100th anniversary in 2015.

We sell fruit and vegetables under the name ZON fruit & vegetables, which is essentially what we do. Along with a grower- and customer-oriented range of supporting activities such as marketing, logistics, packaging and quality assurance. The grower platform VanEigenBodem.nl is the common thread in ZON’s marketing and promotional activities.

We sell most of our products both through the ZON auction clock and through mediation and account sales. The wishes of our growers and our customers are of course the starting point. It is our ambition to develop ZON into the preferred partner of growers in the Southeast of the Netherlands and into a decisive and customer-oriented sales organization that facilitates its members in their entrepreneurship. Growers, customers and employees feel at home with ZON!

Our activities are concentrated mainly at Fresh Park Venlo, the hub of European food logistics and owned by ZON. Over 100 companies in fresh & food on our site together ensure that every day millions of Europeans can scoop the tastiest fruit and vegetables onto their plates.

ZON is based in Venlo and had revenues of €286 million in 2017. ZON has about 105 employees and about 200 members.
