In 2022, we want to organize a short knowledge session on leadership development on a regular basis, followed by drinks. So a nice opportunity to meet peers and also learn something.

To get you acquainted with the program in advance, we are organizing a “testing ground” for the knowledge sessions in 2022 on Friday, November 26. This session in itself will be informative and inspiring and will also give you information about next year’s program.

NOTE You may choose to proceed directly to Helma Minjon’s farewell drinks after this session, which will take place at the same location.

GLOBAL INSIGHT IN THE ONSTORY OF Behavior
By understanding how behavior arises, you see how your history is a fundamental part of your current behavior. You begin to realize through which (colored) glasses you look at the world. And that that color also drives you into automatisms and patterns of certain behaviors.

BEWARE OF YOUR MIND, EMOTIONS AND SENSATIONS
We will examine your behavior and look specifically at the relationship between thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations. You will see how strongly they are connected, how they drive your behavior and how you react in automatisms and patterns.

BEWARE OF THE EFFECT OF THE OTHER ON YOU
Through the information and exercises provided, the goal is to make you feel the effect of your behavior on the other person and vice versa. You are then invited to show different behavior than normal and observe the effect on yourself and the other person. In this way you learn that you can use your thoughts, your physical sensations and your emotions as instruments to help yourself and the other person in an authentic way.

LEADING AND KNOWING THE OTHER BETTER
Looking more consciously at the other person’s signals and signs is the goal. You will learn a way to learn to read those signs better, allowing you to better understand the other person and to help the other person and lead in an authentic and a servant way.

You will find that your behavior in the here and now has a direct link to your experiences in your past. And that you have limited control over your thoughts and behavior. That’s why you can get so carried away with your default behavior. How does that play out with you? And what helps to better understand the other person? What do you have and want to learn right now? And what can you do to help the other person? Where is the hidden potential of you and the other person?

The speaker

Norbert Koopen has long worked as a Marketing Manager in the Telecom, Financial and Public sectors. Always looking for how to answer customer needs. There, he also learned to uncover the hidden potential of employees and, as a result, developed powerful and learning teams. As an expeditionary climber, he learned about leadership, navigating difficult circumstances, about what it takes to constantly find your path anew.

Now he owns and works as a coach and trainer at KoopenBakker Coaching & Training. He specializes in unraveling behavioral patterns in people and teams, contributing to feeling freer, calmer, more powerful in what you do and experiencing deep satisfaction in it. And if you don’t know, he helps you discover what you would really like. What gives you meaning?
