European Marketing Manager – Yakult Europe

The Position

In this overarching marketing position, you help bring the vision ‘One Yakult’ to life. You drive
effective marketing strategies across Yakult’s European countries, ensuring they all align with
one shared commercial ambition. This is a broad, international leadership role that touches
every aspect of the marketing profession.

Success means your team leads with strategy in all countries, not just offering support. You
initiate new ideas that gain buy-in across local teams and significantly contribute to Yakult’s
overarching mission.

You achieve this by sharing successes and actively engaging with local managers. While you
lead the central team based in the Netherlands, you also involve marketers across borders.
You lead based on expertise, because you know that’s what it takes to create one Yakult.

 

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the marketing policy from A to Z — including branding, product
    development, digital, and data.
  • Translating strategy into impactful activities that drive Yakult Group Europe’s
    commercial growth.
  • Leading your team with vision and energy.
  • Collaborating with various departments: Sales, Marketing, Science, PR, Regulatory,
    and Public Affairs.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for local MDs and Marketing Managers, helping them
    create initiatives that contribute to Yakult’s growth in their respective markets.
  • Strengthening and safeguarding the brand across Europe.

 

About You

    dots across departments and help the entire organisation move forward.
  • You’re persuasive through smart insights and real examples, and you listen just as
    well as you lead.
  • You’re a team player and a people manager. You’re a strong communicator with a
    sparkling, positive personality.
  • You’re skilled in coaching and developing (junior) professionals.
  • You honour existing culture and beliefs, but you also bring fresh perspectives and
    take initiative that naturally contributes to success.
  • You bring substantial experience with consumer brands. Ideally, you’re familiar with
    the full marketing mix.
  • You’re digitally savvy and understand new technologies, channels, and marketing
    intelligence (research, data analysis, reporting). You don’t have to be an expert in
    everything, but you are capable of forming clear, well-founded opinions.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant FMCG experience, preferably in food.
  • Ideally, your experience also includes sales and trade marketing.
  • You hold a degree at HBO or WO level.
  • You communicate easily in English, both verbally and in writing. Dutch is a plus, but not required.

 

What We Offer

In addition to a unique and strategic role, Yakult offers a competitive benefits package,
including an annual bonus. European travel is part of the job. While this is a full-time position,
working 32 hours per week is negotiable.

Yakult Europe B.V. is located in Almere and has served as the European headquarters and
production site since 1994.
